From the first time I made contact with Taylor's they made me feel so comforted. It was like dealing with family. They said all the right things at the right times to ensure that this difficult/sad time went as well as it could. They were professional and so incredibly friendly. They kept me up to date with everything and ensured the day went to plan. Nothing was left undone. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and at the end of the process I felt that I had really come to know them because they were so genuine and caring. It made be feel so comforted when my late husband was in the chapel of rest, because they assured me that he was in good hands and they would take care of him. This sort of thing is so important which you never realise until it happens to you. Thank you so much to Sam and Liza for all your support and understanding which made such a lot of difference to me and my four children.

Sam leads an excellent team at Taylor’s, everybody from Liza in the office to the gentlemen at the actual funeral were very professional and courteous. I can certainly recommend there services.

I truly don't usually write reviews but as well as saying "Thank you" feel compelled to help others who may be in a similar situation. After returning back to Solihull (to nurse my father), from my home in Cairns of 30 years, l was both numb with shock and at a loss as to whom to choose for my dad's funeral. I knew l wanted something intimate. Call me odd but I did not want my father in a fridge, located on a main road, surrounded by car dealers and industrial smog. I was happy for him to rest in Taylor''s peaceful little parlour, located in the Dorridge countryside. l also felt it extremely important that the undertakers and premises had the right 'vibe' - kind, caring, good energy, lots of light and be prepared to pander to my peculiar particularities! I could not have wished for better. Not only that but the cost was very reasonable. Sam and his team were a pleasure to deal with. Both Sam and Liza were supportive. They gently guided me through the process and also went out of their way to fulfill my requests. I must also mention that the florist Sam recommended - Lisa Flowers, did an outstanding wreath for me. What a team you all are. Many thanks, Benson (Susan Bryan)

A family business, exceptional care and thoughtfulness. Every aspect was carefully planned and they went to great lengths to accommodate our wishes and ensure that the funeral ran smoothly. An efficient helping hand at the time when one most needs it. Very grateful and would definitely recommend.

We chose Taylor's due to other reviews and we were not let down, Sam and Liza were professional and caring from the first meeting and the informative emails with Liza helped arranging a funeral from a distance less stressful. The recommendation of Dawn, the Celebrant to take the service and write the Order of Service was really good, she was wonderful to work with. The funeral at Robin Hood cemetery was very respectful and was a lovely way to send off my mum.

From the moment we walked into Taylor’s, Sam and his team made us feel we were in safe hands, nothing was too much trouble. With their help we managed to plan a funeral that celebrated life and on the day all ran to plan. We would not hesitate to recommend Taylor’s for their excellent service and value for money.

We were guided through a very difficult time by Sam and his team. They were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The Funeral went very smoothly and Sam and his team were professional, attentive and compassionate, and made our whole experience a lot easier.

I asked Sam to take charge of my mother's funeral. He and his team dealt with everything efficiently and professionally.

I would highly recommend Taylors Funeral Directors.

  • 5 Roy Griffiths 27th Dec 2017

Sam Taylor very promptly organised my mothers funeral and met all of our specific needs for the two services of committal and thanksgiving. The whole day went seamlessly to plan despite some atrocious weather conditions. It was good to work with a local business which took personal pride in the arrangements. Many thanks

    Highly recommended

My family and I cannot thank Sam enough. Having used him twice within a few weeks, he has an incredible approach. Always treated us with the utmost respect and dignity, he listened, accepted and assisted without compromise. He went well above and beyond to ensure 'we' were ok and even hand delivered documents outside of office hours. As a family we could not have dealt with the situation we found ourselves in without Sam.
I would not hesitate but to recommend him as the 'go to' service in the area. Other well known local  companies have now become corporate, where numbers become more important than the individual. When you face bereavement you need a helping hand, empathy and understanding. Sam delivers on every level.
    THANK YOU!
