The service we received from start to finish was superb. Julie, our funeral arranger, was so easy to chat to and put us at ease right from the very first meeting. She remained respectful at all times, while still sharing a laugh with us and was genuinely interested in hearing about Iain and his life. Her attention to detail and caring nature made a really difficult and emotional time so much easier to get through. Without her guidance and support we would have been lost.
Fiona, our funeral director was also lovely and thanks to her everything ran smoothly on the day of the funeral

My mum's funeral went exactly as planned, thanks to Fiona and the team at co-op Stirling, they chose a superb celebrant for me as well, also had a follow up call a few days later to check I was doing ok, can't fault the service I received, so can recommend them from personal experience.

Whilst we were extremely happy with the service provided by Fiona , Sean and George at the Co-op , everything was carried out exactly as we had requested, however we were extremely disappointed by the service received by the crematorium in that the very expensive , beautiful flowers we had ordered were not a available for us to go back on the Monday to see and appreciate as they had been very quickly removed and disposed of which I think is a disgrace and very disrespectful to a family who are grieving . It was most disappointing for my husband John whose dads service was only on the Friday and by the Monday  when he went to see his dads flowers they were gone .

Poor service. The four reasons I have given this score are -

On receipt for my mothers clothes to be put on her for cremation the funeral director wrote the wrong surname for my mother. This left me wondering if she knew whose clothes these were.

One of my mothers great-grandchildren’s names was omitted from the funeral notice in the Stirling observer and online. I had to contact funeral director to tell her this on seeing the mistake.

When I viewed my mothers body I noticed that the name said Janet Cameron and not Janet “Nettie” Cameron as had been discussed with the funeral director on the lid of her coffin.

Over a week after I had paid the funeral costs in person at Co-Op Funeralcare I received a phone call from the funeral director to inform me that she had omitted to include a charge from the crematorium of £85 for a slide show played during the service. I was unaware that this was an extra as the funeral director omitted to tell me this during our initial meeting after my mother had died. My husband accompanied me to this meeting and was able to confirm that no mention had been made of any charge for this service. On telling the funeral director this during her phone call she said “ oh my apologies”.

I would imagine if this was your job which you were doing every day of the week the above mistakes should not have happened and left me very disappointed with the service I received at a time when you are not equipped to have to deal with such mistakes.
