The service provided was excellent. My initial phone call was taken by Sharon who dealt with my enquiry and request for a quotation, swiftly and sympathetically. Never having had to organise a funeral/cremation before, I wasn't sure what the process was. Mark, in particular, was immensely helpful and confirmed what I needed to do regarding death certificate, registering the death etc.  I highly recommend South West Cremations.

My husband's wishes was to have a direct cremation.
Having found South West Cremations online, the
Information pages on all services of which they provided was straightforward and easy to understand.
I gave them a call to ask a few more questions.
I spoke to a very nice man, who was very helpful.
I did not pre arrange the cremation, only called them when my husband passed away.
Mark Robson looked after us, very nice, friendly, easy to talk to and followed all my requests.
His job as he said was to look after my husband and that he did.
Mark kept me informed of all procedures that followed.
A week following the cremation, my husband's ashes were returned to me at our home.
I would highly recommend them to anyone for the service, care, and sympathy that they provided made the very sad occasion easier to deal with.

Please do not deal with the companies that have big fancy TV commercials, remember you are paying for that advert, they also say ex amount of pounds, then the extras only appear when you read the T&C. You call through to them, and you get a call centre, not a company that cares, with a professional funeral director.
I can highly recommend Southwest Cremations, you get a company that cares, from first contact, either before the person passes or after. You will speak to a professional Funeral Director, they ask you how you would like to proceed, how much time you want with your loved one. However, you are never left wondering what next, you are fully supported all of the way. You get a fixed price, they DO NOT do the upsell bit, they DO NOT try to sell you things that you do not want or need, they keep to your budget.
Whatever your budget, you get a professional dignified service from start to finish.
Should you get any complications, with obtaining legal documents, you are not left on your own, they have either dealt with it, without you knowing, or they will assist you all of the way. At no point are you put under any pressure to pay; I even contacted them to find out when they required payment.
We Have now used them several times, we have used the full traditional cremation service, with the service being done the way we wanted.
The full service from beginning to end was conducted with our special touches, we saved thousands of pounds, compared to what our village (local) funeral director wanted.
We have also used the Direct Cremation service, nothing to do with the company on TV. It's a professional service that Southwest Cremations provide. You get a fixed price from the start, which does not creep up, you only pay for what is needed , or any extras you choose to add. Like an ornamental urn, but you are not put under pressure, you are told how the ashes are returned, giving you the choice of upgrading from the eco-friendly crematorium box. Should you want to do this, you can purchase one from them, or purchase your own.
You will save hundreds of pounds by using Southwest Cremations, direct cremation service. I have seen TV adverts that even charge well over a thousand pounds more, for the same service, apart from you don't get the attention to detail and the caring support of your Funeral Director.
I want my loved one's ashes returned by hand, which Southwest Cremations do. Many of the TV advertised companies return them in the Post or by Courier, why would anyone want that, having your loved one thrown around, being transported half way round the country,. Before being returned to you, this is not a dignified returns service. So many parcels, packages and letters get lost, damaged, delivered to the wrong address or so badly damaged they are beyond delivery.
I cannot fault Southwest Cremations in any way, when you lose your loved one, you are at your most vulnerable, this is when you need a company you can trust. Any future funeral services that I need to arrange, I will be using Southwest Cremations

From the moment that you took him into your care until my Brother-in -law’s cremation, it was all carried out with dignity and professionalism. The staff are very professional. They know their job inside and out and did everything possible to make sure the family were informed and understood everything that was going to happen. The family cannot thank you enough for the support they provided at such a difficult time.

Mark could not have been more professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He was sensitive and just could not have done anything more for my family at such a difficult time. The order of service he helped produce was great, the flowers he organised were just beautiful and finally Marie who led the service was truly great. If this had been a funeral costing 10 times as much I could not have got a better service, a huge thank you.
