The funeral was good but we had been told we could pick up ashes 24 hours afterwards from coop and it was eight days later before we had news we could collect them which was stressful as we had arranged to have the ashes interned with my fathers ashes the day after we collected them leaving us unnecessarily stressed there should be more dialog with family and not assume they know what has to happen

Some of the people found the waiting area confusing. Some the close family ended up on there own on the wrong side. Disappointing.

Lots of help, kindness and advice from the first moment 
The actual funeral was wonderful, simple and uplifting, I was also very grateful for the support at the crematorium where I felt so protected 
The whole experience could not have been better and the memories are all good, which is as much as anyone could ask and so much more than I thought would be possible

Really felt like we were looked after from the minute we walked in .The care and understanding of the staff was exceptional. The day went well and the staff always made sure the family especially my mum was looked after .

This is a hard review to do. I dealt with the Taunton team and on the whole they were very good - responsive to my requirements and showed great care and empathy. But part of the process required my Mum being looked after in the Totnes Co-op location before she was moved to Taunton and that part was not handled well. She was there for almost 3 weeks and the Co-op said the GP was to blame for this whereas the GP blamed the Co-op. I really did not know what to believe but I would have expected the Co-op to have taken more ownership in sorting this. At the end of the day my Mum was in limbo and I was not able to visit her during that time which caused me distress. Overall this soured the experience.

Coop Funeral Care were so very kind and thoughtful in the planning of my Mum's funeral. They didn't push to sell the most expensive. They gave my Mum a lovely, dignified, respectful funeral and could not have been kinder to me. I am really grateful to them.
