I could not fault them from beginning to end. Kirby explained everything really well, we knew exactly what was happening and what was going to happen.
We sorted all the venue, church and other arrangements, advising her of them as they arose.
I know we have been to other funerals run by Lymns so knew they are professional in their attitude and can be approached with any queries we may have. We could not have asked for a more efficient funeral. Thank you to all who were involved.

A.W. Lymn’s Bulwell funeral home is based at Middleton House, the oldest building in the town, located on Main Street. The premises are named in honour of Stanley Middleton, the celebrated local writer and Booker Prize winner, and father of company director Penny Lymn Rose.
Originally established as a funeral home in 1990, Middleton House was fully renovated and extended in 2022, blending traditional character with modern facilities.
The branch is led by Funeral Director Tony Knowles, who has been part of the A.W. Lymn team for over 40 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the families we serve. He is supported by Funeral Arranger Paige Gleedwood, who has great local knowledge and is currently working towards her Certificate in Funeral Arranging and Administration.
Middleton House serves Bulwell and its surrounding areas, including Bestwood Park, Bestwood Village, Bulwell Forest, Bulwell Hall, Crabtree Farm, Heathfield and Leen Valley estates, Hempshill Vale, Heron Ridge, Highbury Vale, Sellers Wood, Snape Wood, Top Valley and beyond.
As part of A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service, a fifth-generation family-run business established in 1907, the Bulwell team is committed to providing personalised, respectful care to families at their time of need.

You enabled me to arrange the funeral exactly how I wanted it to be for dad. Your experience meant you were able to suggest some things that were great and that I wouldn’t have thought of.

Anything the family asked for with regard to our late Mum Isabella Prescott, she addressed almost immediately. She is an asset to the Bulwell branch. Halfway through the period of organising the funeral I was admitted to hospital. My grandaughter along with Paige took over and ensured everything was sorted, which left me to get better with no worries. Thank you all once again for the true reflection of my wives happy life.

From first making contact with Lymns bulwell myself and my sister were reassured that our dad would be looked after 100 percent. We had a lovely man called Phillip who arranged our dad’s funeral with us and feel he went above and beyond to help make the whole process that little more bearable under the circumstances. A very professional and sincere approach to us when organising Mum’s funeral. Lymns were very flexible and happy to change small aspects of our arrangements as we went along.
