I can't praise Edward Foxton enough, he stepped up and travelled down to Alnwick to get arrangements started as we had a window, when my son would be in the UK. He was proffesional, compassionate and caring, ringing me everyday to see how I was doing and to keep me updated.However on a not so good note, on the Monday after dads funeral, a man called Kevin from the Alnwick office rang me to say he had my mums ashes? And then when i went to collect my dads ashes on the Friday, I asked if I could have a bag to put the scatter tube in & Barry came back with a black bin liner! Which to be honest really upset me.

The Funeral Director and support staff were extremely friendly and compassionate during this time of loss and grieving, as a family we appreciated the guidance and support on offer and the understanding of the situation and the ease in which they guided us through the funeral preparations and eventual cremation.  Nothing was a problem or too much, they communicated every step of the process and kept us well informed, obviously demonstrating a knowledge and competence which belies their trade.  Our particular thanks go to Alistair, Sarah and Ruth to name those that we owe so much appreciation and thanks, and to Ben, a kind and compassionate man who as the celebrant kept us all together during the service.

My mum suddenly passed away at the beginning of July so it was a steep learning curve and a week and a half until the funeral. Alistair of Tweedmouth Coop Funeral Care was brilliant. He was extremely supportive, had a lovely, calm manner and provided options and advice all the way through while being contactable 24/7. Nothing was insurmountable and he talked me though each step of the process as we went along.
The day itself went off without a hitch and the whole team handled it with dignity and kindness.
I can't provide anything other than superlatives...
Recommending a funeral care service feels slightly odd but if anyone should be unfortunate enough to end up in a position requiring their services then Tweedmouth Coop Funeral Care have been brilliant and I don't know how I would have got through it without them.

There are no words that can compliment the service of Edward Foxton enough in my eyes. He is truly amazing at his job.   He goes over and above to give you every detail that you ask for and more. I would not go past the Co Op Funeral care. All the staff are really nice, friendly and dignified nothing is too much bother.

The co op were very good with my father's funeral in 2021, (based in Wotton Basset) so it took no thinking about at all to use the Berwick co op service for my husband's direct cremation.
