Even though it was late in the evening, my initial call was answered immediately and people arrived soon after to take my recently departed father to the chapel of rest. All of my dealings after this were with Nichola who was sympathetic, considerate, friendly but most importantly efficient in everything she had to do. This all made a difficult time much easier to cope with. I would recommend Chapmans & Thornalley Funeral Services.

Sadly I've had to use the services of Chapmans & Thornalley FD Swaffham in May 2020 and January 2021 for two very close friends where I was the Executor. On both occasions I've found the office administration by Nickhola Carlyon and the management of the funeral on the day by Peter Chaphman as first class. Absolutely no detail however small was too much trouble for them to address. Prior to the second funeral Peter, visited the village were the deceased previously lived, to reconnoiter the location where the hearse would stop for two minutes before moving on to the funeral destination. I commend their kindness and professionalism to anyone needing the services of a funeral Director. Kevin Lee

From the minute I phoned every member of staff was compassionate and courteous. I felt listened to and nothing was too much trouble. They kept me updated, provided all that I requested and the funeral itself was flawless. They contacted me the day after the funeral to see how I was and offer further support as required. Highly recommended professional yet personal family business.

Derek and Nicola were extremely thoughtful and helpful throughout this stressful time and kept us informed at all times.
They gave both our Dad and now our Mum a nice send off.

Dave opted for a “simple cremation “ no service and basic coffin etc. Despite this the service received from Chapman’s and Thornalley’s was anything but basic. They were excellent throughout and  could not have been more supportive. I especially want to thank Nichola for her care and wonderful understanding. She really helped make a very difficult situation easier to bear. I highly recommend this Funeral Home.

I cannot thank them enough for all their support in dealing with my father’s unexpected death recently. The team that came out to collect him at 2.45am still looked completely professional and they were also very kind.
Nicola and Derek took such great care of us throughout the whole process and both my Mum and I felt they really cared,it wasn’t just a job for them. We were able to tailor the funeral the way we wanted it, and the Order of  Service they created was really lovely.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
