How much does a funeral cost?

The cost of a funeral depends on where you are in the UK and whether you choose a burial or a cremation. Natural burial is becoming increasingly popular, but can often be more expensive than burial in a traditional cemetery. The cost of coffins, flowers, catering and transport also varies a lot. There is also an almost unlimited list of options for personalising a service, such as professional funeral singers or a motorcycle-hearse. You can compare the price of funeral directors on Funeral Guide.

Tracue made such a sad occasion alot more bearable, from the very start she was kind, caring and extremely professional, the whole process was quick and easy due to her hard work ethic, she really took care of every detail efficiently and efficiently, on the day the staff were extremely professional warm and kind, I couldn't have asked for anything more, I would throughly recommend this branch they were outstanding

The funeral arranger was compassionate, kind and very down to earth and approachable and also willing to go the extra mile and give us the time to sort out the grave space. The funeral director and personnel on the day were also very kind. The only shortcoming was that some flowers got left behind but they went back for them when asked.

I have given a 4 star rating for the Coop funeralcare but would give Darren, the funeral Director who helped me a 10 star rating if I could. Darren was so helpful right from the our first phone call following my husband passing away. Darren was very supportive, sympathetic and suggested some lovely details which made my husbands funeral very personal. Unfortunately Darren couldn't lead my husbands funeral but he did an amazing handover to another funeral director, Sebastian, who I would also give a 10 star rating to. All the details and arrangements were there on the day and all the funeral staff were absolutely amazing. The reason I gave the Coop a 4 star rating is because it was difficult arranging where to meet Darren for our first meeting as my local branch isn't 'staffed' so Darren had to open the branch just for me. Not having the branch staffed also could have been a problem for having flowers and the coffin tribute delivered but again Darren arranged for us to be able to deliver the flowers on the day of the funeral to my lical branch. I did however have to take the clothes that I wanted my husband dressed in to the branch in Balham which wasn't the ideal thing to have to do. Jo at the Balham branch was extremely helpful. I was very surprised that branches of the Coop funeralcare weren't staffed, my assumption was that all funeral directors would be staffed. Overall Darren, Sebastian, Jo and everyone who were involved in my husbands funeral were absolutely amazing and I can't thank them enough.

Dawn, James, Sarah & all the team at Albert Parr were kind and supportive. They gave us helpful advice and guidance at a very difficult time. Our celebrant, Michelle Harvey, arranged by Sarah was excellent. Making the service very personal. A caring and professional team, we can’t thank them enough. Bob & all the family.
