This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

As with my Mums funeral,Sarah was fantastic,nothing was too much trouble for her
The day before the funeral,Peter phoned me which was nice,however I informed him that myself and 3 others would carry my Dad into the church,this didn’t happen which was disappointing.

Really happy with the service and a special shoutout to both Sarah from this branch and Martin from the Hayes branch during what was a difficult time for me. They made sure I had everything I needed. Sarah let me know of all of the options available for the funeral and for the cremation; Martin guided me through the funeral and the cremation itself, both before and on the day. This was especially helpful because after my mum passed, I had no other family here to help or to attend. Thank you both very much.x

Sarah is very caring and kept me informed at each stage.
She worked very hard to ensure all my wishes were met, she's worth her weight in gold, but I could clearly see she is a one man band that could do with extra help at the branch.
Peter the funeral director and his team were also very attentive before and after the funeral.

When I turned up Sarah Chipchase was busy with another client but took time to see me. Losing a sibling was not easy to cope with but Sarah showed great patience and understanding with my mother who is slightly hard of hearing in one ear which caused her to miss some of the important information.

Was great made a very difficult time much less stressful. They forgot to draw curtains in the end but Colin FD did ask me and helped save the day.
But Sarah and Sylvie helped us to get through all of this with compassion and professionalism ashes plot purchase and stone mason because it would have really been a one point of contact thing.
