How do you arrange a funeral?

You can arrange a funeral by choosing a funeral director who will help you organise all of the details. How much does a funeral cost?

The cost of a funeral depends on where you are in the UK and whether you choose a burial or a cremation. Natural burial is becoming increasingly popular, but can often be more expensive than burial in a traditional cemetery. The cost of coffins, flowers, catering and transport also varies a lot. There is also an almost unlimited list of options for personalising a service, such as professional funeral singers or a motorcycle-hearse. You can compare the price of funeral directors on Funeral Guide.

The funeral directors' services on the day were first class. The rating has been downgraded because staff in the office were dealing with a potential customer who had called, leading to my family having to sit for 20 minutes in the waiting area before we were able to be seen for a scheduled appointment. Whilst we were waiting,a mobile phone with a popular tune rang a number of times without being answered. Surely it should not have been on in a funeral directors? In addition, when we took clothes into the office,we waited downstairs without any attention when it was clear there were people upstairs who knew we were there.

Excellent service. Staff very kind and understanding of my needs at a sad time. All my family and friends commented on how good the funeral was conducted both at the church and at the burial. Very respectful staff. Office staff sorted out problems for me, I can't thank them enough

Had a slight glitch with the graphics on the original chosen coffin but chose a another from the catalogue which was beautiful.  Everything went exactly as I had planned with their professional help.  Bill - one of the funeral pallbearers was amazing and helped me on what was an emotional day. Thank you
