How much does a funeral cost?

The cost of a funeral depends on where you are in the UK and whether you choose a burial or a cremation. Natural burial is becoming increasingly popular, but can often be more expensive than burial in a traditional cemetery. The cost of coffins, flowers, catering and transport also varies a lot. There is also an almost unlimited list of options for personalising a service, such as professional funeral singers or a motorcycle-hearse. You can compare the price of funeral directors on Funeral Guide.

From the first phone call after my dad passed away, James and Emma were kind, informative and so professional. A small funeral but nothing was too much trouble and the communication  was second to none. Always at the end of the phone or replying promptly to emails it made the process so trouble free. The celebrant Barbara, who James put us in contact with is the most perfect person to officiate a ceremony for your loved one. The day of the funeral was perfect, we felt looked after throughout and James and Barbara made it a day that we will never forget. Thank you all from all the family.

I've known James for some time. I recommended him for a friend last year, and didn't consider going to anyone else for my husband's funeral. His attention to detail is exemplary and I would have no hesitation in recommending James Funeral Service.

From start to finish we were treated with respect and kept informed.  The step by step support and advise took away any hassle from what was a difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks to James and Emma for everything.
