Whilst we were very satisfied with the funeral service we would like to mention a couple of things.
After visiting the Co-op funeral care in Hemel Hempstead and making arrangements we were very surprised that the invoice had been emailed through by the time we had arrived home and full payment was requested while my late brother was still in the hospital. We thought this very insensitive.
Also a week before the funeral I had a call saying that they could not provide the wicker coffin I had ordered due to Brexit, this was not mentioned on our visit. I was offered an alternative wooden one at extra cost or a different shaped wicker coffin for same cost. I opted for the different shaped wicker one. 
I was not happy about this, however on the day the coffin was the one I had actually ordered.
I think that they could have been more sensitive at a difficult time.

The staff arranged my step fathers funeral last October, and here we are again only 7 months later and they’re arranging the service for my Mum.  Ali & Farah are two of the most compassionate folk I’ve ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble for them. 

They answered every question I asked and went above and beyond to help me. I don’t hesitate or use hyperbole when I say they are a very professional and empathetic branch.

Practical and emotional support by ALL the Co-op team of dedicated ladies and gentlemen was exceptional! This very sad 'trauma' of suddenly losing my Mum, Mentor and Best Friend was devastating. Their time and empathy in patiently working with me so kindly to ease my distress and anxiety was a life saver! They gave me hope and determination to carry on with the inspirational legacy my Mum 'Sparkle" has left me - her aura is all around our home and garden.

Miss our "Sweetie Hugs, Sparkle" and KNOW you are taking care of me from Heaven, God Bless and keep you safe as you are now with Stan.

The ladies at the Coop funeral service are an absolute credit to the business.
Their professional manner and efficiency is outstanding.
It does take a special kind of person to deal with someone who has lost a close relative …and these ladies at Hemel office have the empathy , understanding and compassion to help the bereaved at such a difficult time .
I would have no hestitation to recommend Coop Funeral Services to friends and family looking for funeral services.

Alison, Farrah and Abby were excellent in carrying out their tasks. They gave good advice without waiting to be asked, based on their knowledge and experience and offered sensible suggestions. Appointments were kept on time. I was pleasantly surprised by their concern for our wellbeing. It was very kind without being intrusive. They were a pleasure to work with especially at a stressful time.
