I wasn't happy about all the mistakes so bad that I had to go to view him in the Chapel of rest to make sure it was Graham in the coffin. The last straw was when you put the wrong name on the obituary for the webcam information. As you can imagine the family are distraught and would like some compensation

From start to finish of my dads funeral and Cremation, Stibbards have been extremely professional and their online obituary service with donation facility is very helpful. I would highly recommend them.

We interacted with two people at Stibbards,Martin,himself a Stibbard and Karen who dealt with customers at the Shoeburyness funeral home. Both were extremely sympathetic, compassionate and very professional. We were very impressed that Martin was able to visit our home on the day that I contacted them as my mother is very elderly and not particularly mobile.

The business has been in the Stibbards family for generations and one got the impression that the outstanding service was because the firm is independent and very experienced.However,it is also very much a twenty first century organisation and the experience with the website,donations and streaming was also very good.

Stibbards was recommended to us by more than one friend,we did not chance upon them with a google search. We will require funeral directors in the Southend area at some point in the future and most certainly will use them again. We felt that they went the extra mile with respect to advice and our requests. For example,at short notice, i.e.at the point that the hearse arrived at our home,Martin suggested and was able to organise streaming at the chapel, because my sister had fallen ill at the last minute and was unable to attend our father's service.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your help, care, kindness, compassion & support through this very sad, difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble throughout this procedure.

The whole service on Wednesday was beautiful & immaculate from beginning to end, just like my Dad’s funeral 7 years ago (which you also did) & was delivered with professionalism, respect and dignity.

My family and I could not have been more pleased with the way Stibbards looked after our Mum, 
From the first meeting I had with Karen throughout the whole process, including Scott who directed Mums transfer from the funeral home to the service. 
This is the first time I’ve had to arrange a funeral and it was stress free as far as the organisation was concerned.
Hats off to all at Stibbards , and a special mention for Laura Manvell who took the service, even calling to ask if there was a particular colour dress we’d like her to wear . 
You made what could have been a very distressing day ,into a celebration of my Mums life.

I certainly chose the right Funeral Directors they were excellent. I cannot give them enough prise.

On their booklet that I received it states “Care, compassion and support in all we do”  That is so true.

From my first contact with them I could see that they cared and would support you through you sad loss.

Compassion they related to my sad loss of my Wife and they could not do enough to help me,

I cannot thank enough I know my late Wife would be proud of the care she received from them.

In all it was a lovely funeral but my mum paid for a funeral plan and I understand they have no control over 3rd party changes but we were shocked to have pay £253 for out of hours transfer from her home and into their care in all we had to pay £843.85 which we didn’t expect when she had paid for her funeral plan

Stibbards is not just a service. It’s an experience. If you leave your loved one in Stibbards hands. You know your loved one will be treated like one of there own. They are exemplary in that field.
I honestly do not think standards can be beaten. Andrew was so professional and friendly.  Very informative guided us every step of the way. My family were in awe of such a young man being so skilled in that field and so compassionate. Our drivers were fantastic and gave great attention to detail. They were very attentive. And really put us at ease. They explained everything every step of the way. We never felt rushed. It’s worth every penny to know your loved one is being treated with dignity and respect and shown person centred  care at all times. So a big Thank-you from my whole family we 💯  recommend your services.
