Christopher and his team did a great job handling our grandfather’s funeral arrangements. Throughout the process we felt like there was an abundance of kindness, patience and empathy, and with the right amount of solemnity. Highly recommend this wonderful team of compassionate people. Chris, Carol and Yasmin took me under their wing as I faced the hardest days I have ever known.

Nothing was ever too much. They were there whenever I needed them, whether on the phone or in person. Their kindness will never be forgotten.

They cared for our son gently and respectfully, giving us all the time we needed with him. Their thoughtfulness showed in every detail, from sourcing a bespoke Lego brick casket with Lego brick blue teddy fleece lining to Chris wearing a Lego brick pin badge on his suit.

The celebrant Steve Clarke led a beautiful service that captured our son’s energy and spirit perfectly.

Chris and his team were nothing short of amazing with my Dad’s funeral. They were so kind caring and sensitive leading up and on the day and afterwards .  We really cannot express our thanks enough. The empathy they showed in the most terrible time of our lives really will stay with us forever. My dad supported spurs and I noticed on the day of the funeral Chris was wearing a spurs pin on his suit - such a lovely thing to do!! Thank you so much for everything xx

Christopher and his team at Woodford Green Funeral Services took over after the first funeral director turned out not to be up to the task because they were a primarily online-based service, whereas Woodford Green FS were, as the name suggests, grounded in their community and were brilliant. They were recommended to me by some local GPs who deal with many funeral directors and know who is good at this kind of thing, and those GPs were right. Christopher was responsive to my questions, talked me through all the options and was very helpful at sorting things out for us.

I'm very grateful to Christopher and his colleagues for how well the funeral went - exactly as planned. The photo coffin was beautiful, the service (at GreenAcres Epping Park which I would wholeheartedly recommend as a funeral venue) was all I had hoped it would be, and his team coached us through every step including pallbearing, making it as easy as possible for all of us on the second worst day of my life.
