Buckhurst Hill Funeral Home is a funeral director in Essex, who have been helping families through difficult times since 1888, providing a range of personalised and unique funeral options.

Among the types of funerals offered are green and woodland burials, celebration of life services and military funerals. As a branch of Harold White Independent Funeral Directors, Buckhurst Hill are also specialists in traditional horse-drawn funerals.

You will be able to choose from a variety of coffin and casket options, including veneered coffins, colourful and printed coffins, biodegradable coffins and coffins made from banana leaf, willow or seagrass.

In addition to the details of the funeral, Buckhurst Hill Funeral Home can help with probate and will management, bereavement advice and counselling, giving you the support you need throughout the funeral planning process. Other services include Golden Charter funeral plans.

The Buckhurst Hill premises feature a chapel of rest to visit your loved one, a private arrangement office to discuss plans, and mortuary facilities.

Too many errors problems mis information... the worst service imaginable, look elsewhere if you want a stress free funeral...

We were saddened to receive this review and rating from you Mr Camplin, especially after our Executive Director Gary spent some time discussing your concerns with the funeral arrangements you were receiving. We have been your chosen Funeral Home for over 40 years, caring for different family members who had passed away. The underlying issue you had which due to the current Government Guidelines and Restrictions in place meant that all the arrangements were carried out online and over the phone. You found this process not to your standard of care and in part Gary agreed with you, in that you lose that personal connection between arranger and family, and this was your complaint. However the majority of families going through this remote funeral arrangement process are finding it easier. This is where your comment stops, you failed to go on to say that the appointed Celebrant Minister and our Executive Director Gary made the service for Mum as special as anyone would wish for in saying their farewell. You actually said to both that as always an excellent service although you do not want to use our services again to soon. Pleased be assured that your comment and review does not go unnoticed or acted upon, every effort will be implemented to look at ways to make sure other families understand the current procedures and can contact us whilst going through the arrangements if they are unsure of anything.

I would like to Thank Gary and his team for giving my husband George the best send off under the terrible and stressful circumstances. As always Gary showed professionalism on the day which meant a lot to me and my family, our big thank you Gary. Also our thanks to Lynn for the readings and helping make the best send off for George. To make the day as well the sun came out for George. Once all is calm and all is back to normal we will be having a Memorial Celebration of Life for George and will forward on the details Gary.
