This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

Really nervous of going into a funeral home but Sammy Jo was amazing nothing was too much trouble and I found the whole experience calm respectful relaxing and most important of all I did not feel as upset leaving as I did when I walked in just very calm And I know that I made the right decision going to the CO-OP Thank you so much.

Thank you so much to Steven and the team, once again, you did a tremendous job! The staff are always very respectful, polite and extremely caring. They kept us informed regularly of what was happening and checked in with us to make sure I was ok. On the day of the funeral, the staff were very compassionate and dignified. It is never an easy day to have to go through, but their support was very much appreciated indeed! I would have no hesitation in recommending their services at all, they are absolutely first class!

Steven and his team at Paignton are superb. I can not fault them. They are all kind and caring. Nothing is to much for them. My daughter and I went to see my sister the day before the funeral and she was beautiful. Jenny (sorry if I got your name wrong) was wonderful. The attention to detail was spot on. Julie the minster did the service with love, warmth and compassion. She is a lovely lady that is perfect for that roll.

Everything was excellent, even though we had a very basic arrangement, it was handled very well. Sammy who I met with was very kind and efficient and kept me informed all the way through.
Don't think because you're having a basic funeral you will receive a less service, you won't, I would highly recommend the Co-op.

The co op funeral care have been very caring and respectful whilst I had to arrange my Mother's funeral. They made the whole process easy at a difficult time for me. The funeral was very well conducted with care and compassion and utmost respect. Charles Russell a celebrant conducted the funeral and he did so with great care and respect. His service was very fitting. The care throughout was outstanding. I can't thank all them enough for such care and respect they took at this tough time for me.

My mums funeral went well from start to finish. Steven and the staff at the Paignton coop made an awful time more bearable. They were all very compassionate and helpful. The chapel was lovely. More personal than the crematorium. We had children there too and we felt the room was light,bright and peaceful. It didn't scream death! We felt if we had used crematorium the experience would of been a lot different as the crematorium is done on more of aconveyor belt system, One in one out! The chapel was calm and they didn't rush you. They let you do it at your own pace which made such a difference. Julie the minister was absolutely wonderful. She read my mums order of service with compassion and brought her story to life. I thoroughly recommend the coop as they did a wonderful job at such a sad time.
