Otter Valley Funerals is an independent, family-run funeral director in Budleigh Salterton, Devon. Principal Funeral Director Simon Savage opened Otter Valley Funerals to provide the community of Budleigh and the surrounding villages with exceptional care at their time of need.
Otter Valley Funerals is Budleigh's only independent, family run Funeral Director. Simon has a decade of experience under his belt, starting out in Sidmouth before working for different independent and national companies, before running a funeral support company supporting other independent funeral directors with their day to day needs.
Simon’s ties to Budleigh go back over 25 Years, from playing youth football at Budleigh Football Club, to helping form the youth committee for the first skatepark at Lime Kiln car park, living on Greenway lane for a number of years and up to the present day playing football for whoever will have him, between Budleigh, East Budleigh and Otterton Football Clubs.

Thank you Simon, you were absolutely marvellous. Because I was visiting Ken my wonderful husband in the RD&E I had to arrange for an evening visit. Simon arrived promptly at 19.45 as arranged. My husband chose Otter Valley Funeral’s, he had heard good things about this very caring man. Well all I can say is Simon went above and beyond to help us and his respect for Ken was something I will always remember. We couldn’t have had a more caring person helping both of us. Simon chose Lisa as our Celebrant, well what can I say a lovely, lovely lady who on reading Ken’s wishes which he had asked me to write down, immediately understood this was to be a celebration of his life. What brilliant caring people they are, Stacy and those who helped on the day too. I can never thank you enough for what you did for us. I would also like to say Simon and Lisa have honoured me by saying when the time comes they will be there for me just as they were for Ken.
