Oakley Wood Crematorium
About Us
Oakley Wood Crematorium was established in 1971, within Oakley Wood. The entire site has been maintained as a peaceful and permanent woodland, with memorials being limited as a necessity.
As a natural woodland, there is an abundance of bird life in the grounds. With quietness and patience you may be able to spot animals that are ordinarily very timid. Rabbits, grey squirrels, foxes, badgers, moles and muntjac deer are among the mammals that have made Oakley Woods their home. The planting of shrubs, trees and flowers by the public is not generally allowed. There is a dedicated Woodland Garden of Remembrance, where personal memorials can be placed. You can also make a donation to Warwick District Council for the bulb fund, which is used to supplement snowdrops, bluebells and other woodland plants. There is no minimum donation amount.
Oakley Wood Crematorium is situated just south of Bishops Tachbrook, near the M40. There are three car parks. Car park number 1 is used mainly for visitors to the Chapel of Remembrance, which is open every day from 9am to 5pm.
